Kelly Gleason
I’m a passionate Academic Support Specialist who has spent over a decade helping neurodivergent and under resourced students find confidence, strategies, and success in school. My work is rooted in compassion, creativity, and collaboration. I believe every student deserves the chance to thrive with the right tools and support.
Over the years, I’ve served in a variety of roles supporting students from elementary through high school, providing one-on-one intervention, co-teaching in inclusive classrooms, leading academic support programs, and partnering closely with families and educators. My background is in writing and literacy instruction, and I’ve spent much of my career helping students build strong foundations in both reading and written expression. I’m certified in the Wilson Reading System and have additional training in multisensory math instruction. My approach is structured, individualized, and evidence-based, with a focus on supporting learners who benefit from explicit, systematic instruction—particularly neurodivergent students.
Before transitioning into education, I studied and trained in writing and editing, experience that continues to shape my teaching, especially when guiding students in written composition, grammar, and developing clarity of expression.
I love helping students become confident, capable communicators and lifelong learners.
